Barry Gibb at Glastonbury Festival.

Wow, 75 minutes of Bee Gees history, what a show!

He sure is the Legend of Glastonbury. Goosebumps, emotions and feeling proud...... People in the UK or in other countries who could use a UK server saw the concert live on internet and lateron everyone who can had the BBC2 channel on their tv's could see Barry and his Band there once more. My computer almost exploded yesterday and today and my facebook group page almost crashed.
Sorry if I haven't been able to answer all your messages.... there were hundreds!!
Barry surely was overcome by the adoration of a huge Pyramid stage crowd and thanked the the audience for this experience of a lifetime to perform at Glastonbury. He this year took the Legends slot at Worthy Farm on the final day of this 2017 Glastonbury Festival, while last year he did a guest appearance with Coldplay. During the show he now and then stepped away from the microphone looking as if he was holding back some tears.
He arrived on stage to the famous beats of Jive Talking.
He said: "The last time I was here with Chris Martin was a glimpse for me. It's an honour to be here. You look great." The disco party started including some other oldies he once wrote with his brothers. Marking the 40th anniversary of Saturday Night Fever, Barry performed a number of hits from that film, and the line of security workers at the front of the stage performed the accompanying dance, that was really awsome!! Eldest son Steve was next to him on stage all the time and Barry also did duets with Beth Cohen: Guilty and Islands in the Stream. Lateron he pointed to the balcony on the stage and said: "That's my family up there. I love them all."
He then dedicated the hit Words to his wife Linda, like always and.... to the people of Manchester and London.
"This is how I feel," he said.
At the end of the song the band kept silent and the audience finished the song for Barry, like it is usually done. Then the crowd together with Barry sang the end of the song together one more time. "Thank you for the life experience," said Barry Gibb while he could hardly contain his emotions. Then there was chanting from somewhere in front of the stage before the next song.... about a golden jacket Barry paused, and a shining gold jacket was passed over. "It's a bit small," he said as he pulled it on. "You only want to take the piss," he said to some similarly dressed guys in front of the stage, after pushing up the sleeves. He kept the jacket on and the very special performance came to an end, for many people much too soon. Barry Gibb at almost 71, man you did a great job, proud an honoured I feel.
Hope to see you soon again.
