My love for Barry and his brothers and the music of the Bee Gees goes back a long time before that weekend though. As a high school girl I listened and enjoyed New York Mining Disaster and Spicks and Specks and many other songs, but a video clip of How Deep Is Your Love was the real eye opener. I could not believe that such a gorgeous looking man existed, and I loved Barry ever since. I love their music and have an extensive collection of LPs Cassettes and CDs. If I see it I buy it. The songs can bring a tear to my eye and I continue to enjoy their music as a special part of my life. My life loves are my family my dogs and my Bee Gees music. This is my story and the pictures of me with the Brothers taken in 1994 on a trip to Miami for the Andy Gibb Memorial weekend.

The 1994 trip to Miami for the Andy Gibb Memorial weekend was memory and a dream that partially came true. Barry's and my eyes didn't meet and have such an affect on him that he swept me off my feet and say I was the love he had always looked for, but in reality I didn't expect that. A friend and I flew into Los Angeles USA from Sydney and we then flew to New York for two days and on to Washington for two day and then finally thanks to abatement of Hurricane Gordon down to Miami. We finally arrived at the Fountain Bleu Hotel where we were to stay for the 4 days and where the Andy Gibb Memorial weekend was held. Pen friend Robin Burton and some of her friends picked us up the first morning and we drove to the Studio where I met Rene Schreiber of the BGQ in person and then to my absolute surprise a shiny black Rolls Royce pulled into the studio car park. I couldn't believe my luck as out stepped Barry wearing a gray jumper and track pants. He spoke to us and I could think of nothing to say. My friend urged me to ask for a photo which I did and he consented. When we had our photo taken together I shook so much he reassured me it was alright, he would never know how alright it was and how much I loved him. I blabbed something about would they tour Australia again he said he thought so and how he felt Australia was home. I asked Barry what was his favorite song. He told me "Rings around the Moon". The moment was so special for me that this is Barry's and my song. A little later Robin pulled up in his car wearing shorts. He doesn't smile readily and it was a little scary approaching him but I had to tell him how much I loved his voice with my compliment. He gave a lovely smile and thanked me. My friends took me past the brothers' houses and I took many photos. The next day we did some sight seeing all over Miami and returned to our hotel quite late. The following day we went on a harbour cruise which Maurice joined. He laughed a lot and it was hard to get too close to him as he was closely followed all the time. I took lots of photos.

The next morning we went to have our hair done and get ready for the Weekends highlight at the Fountain Bleau and it was as wonderful as I hoped it would be and a chance to be close to Barry Robin and Maurice again. The following day we flew away leaving beautiful Miami and my Bee Gees behind. My love for Barry and his brothers and the music of the Bee Gees goes back a long time before that though, as a high school girl I listened and enjoyed New York Mining Disaster and Spicks and Specks and many other songs, but in a video clip of How deep is your love was the real eye opener I could not believe that such a gorgeous looking man existed, and I loved Barry ever since. The songs can bring a tear to my eye and I continue to enjoy their music as a special part of my life. My life loves are my family, my dogs and my Bee Gees music. I saw the One concert in Sydney twice. I also went to the One Night Only concert in Sydney. I had top seats but I couldn't see properly.

My heart broke when Maurice passed away and my beautiful Bee Gees were no more. I feel Barry's pain and love him dearly: T his story is not only about my revelation of my wonderful trip to Miami and to meet the Bee Gees but also a thank you to them. On the off chance that Barry and Robin may read this it is a huge thank you for the years of pleasure you have given. I never needed alcohol or drugs to make me feel good when I'm down. I just listen to one of my numerous albums. My favorites are too many to name but I love to sing along with You Win again, Teenage Queen, Rings Around The Moon, In The Morning, Price Of Love, One. As I said, too numerous to single out. Dear brothers you are one, and I am many but you make me feel special and that you wrote the songs just for me. I am happy with my Bee Gees music although now it brings me pain for the loss, we have shared. I am happy with my memories of my trip and often when sleep eludes me I relive the Miami adventure. Very special to me are my dreams. I awake and have a warm glow all day because I have dreamed of being with you, talking together as friends with hugs and laughter. God Bless Barry and Robin and to say thank you and I love you.
